What RoadRanger is
RoadRanger is a free road safety learning platform run for the Traffic Management Unit (TMU) of San Ildefonso. You read short lessons, play practice games, and earn a certificate when you finish a course. The lessons are general road safety information for learning; they do not replace a driving school, a licence exam, or the law itself.
What we collect
- Your name, email address, birthday, gender and phone number, which you give when you sign up.
- Your learning activity: which lessons you opened or finished, quiz results, game scores, the time you spend learning, and when you were last active.
- Certificates issued to you, with your name and the date.
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising trackers. Pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so Google can see that a page was opened.
Why we collect it
- To run your account and save your progress.
- To choose a starting difficulty that suits your age.
- To send sign-in emails (a sign-in link, or a code if you turned on two-step sign-in).
- To help the TMU see how the platform is being used, for example how many learners finish each course.
Who can see it
TMU administrators of RoadRanger can see your account details and progress. Other learners can only see a leaderboard alias, or your name only if you choose to show it in Settings. A certificate can be checked by anyone who has its code; that check shows only your name, the course and the date. We do not sell your information.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) you may ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have your account deleted. Ask the TMU office of San Ildefonso, which runs this platform.
